Hey, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Schelli! Mom, wife and US Air Force retiree. In addition, I am a sewing content creator, bag-designer, owner and creator of The Nina Jo collective.

I took my first sewing class in 2018, only because my daughter wanted to learn to sew. Figured I'd take it with her as she was only 10 and I couldn't leave her there alone. Plus, I might as well try and learn a thing or two. And it was love at first stitch! I'm sew thankful I made that decision because it has changed my life!

Later that year, I moved to South Korea on an unaccompanied tour for a year as a part of my military service. So, I bought my first sewing machine, which was a Husqvarna Viking to take with me. There, I was able to dedicate a lot of time learning and getting better at my craft. Though, I'd have to say it took much longer than that first year. It was there, I opened my first Etsy shop selling sports and Ankara coin and pencil pouches. Now, I curate custom one-of-a-kind bags.  ​
